February Half Term Workshops

Join professional puppeteer Sophie Powell from PuppetBox to explore puppetry technique and create a playful performance with puppets and objects. From ensemble puppetry to rod puppets, and object play to junk puppetry. Focus on ways into devising and creating your own material.

You will leave with a strong knowledge of key concepts such as breath, weight and active stillness as well as some experience of making your own scene. Sophie Powell, Co-Founder of PuppetBox, is a puppeteer, theatre practitioner and teacher. As a puppeteer she performs frequently with Long Nose Puppets, Tiny Pickles and Get Lost and Found.
