Swan Lake

Imperial Classical Ballet® Presents

Swan Lake

Featuring a full live orchestra

After last year’s triumphant success, Imperial Classical Ballet® is proud to return to Guildford with their breathtaking production of Swan Lake.

Swan Lake tells the unforgettable tale of two women, Odette and Odile, who resemble each other so closely that they can be mistaken for one another. This compelling story follows the tragic romance of Princess Odette, who is cursed by an evil spell to live as a swan by day and a woman by night.

When Prince Siegfried chances upon a flock of swans while hunting, he encounters Odette, who transforms into a beautiful young woman under the moonlight. Captivated by her grace and beauty, Siegfried vows to break the curse. However, the evil sorcerer Rothbart and his cunning daughter Odile conspire to deceive him, threatening to destroy the prince's love and Odette’s chance for freedom.

From the dazzling opulence of the palace ballroom to the hauntingly beautiful moonlit lake, Swan Lake is a feast for the eyes and soul. The ballet’s iconic scenes include the majestic white swan dances and the electrifying black swan pas de deux, showcasing some of the most exquisite choreography and music ever created.

Tchaikovsky’s timeless score and the live orchestra’s rich performance add emotional depth to this masterpiece. Swan Lake captures the entire range of human emotions—from hope and despair to tenderness and ecstasy—making it a truly unparalleled experience.
