Directing Masterclass: Transforming stories for the stage
Directing Masterclass: Transforming stories for the stage
Led by professional director Nathan Crossan-Smith, this practical workshop will help you discover what a theatre director does, who they work with and how they guide a play from the page or devising process, through to an unforgettable piece of live theatre.
Explore how to layer music, movement, and live sound effects using microphones to create bold, contemporary theatre. Ideal for aspiring directors or anyone curious about the creative process behind extraordinary moments on stage.
Nathan specialises in work with young people, from grime Shakespeare to immersive film. He has directed shows and projects for Liverpool Everyman, Graeae, Orange Tree, Old Vic New Voices, and National Theatre Wales.
